When you've been traumatized, every day can feel like walking through a minefield. Reminders activate your racing heart as you want to crawl out of your skin. Unexpected moments create panic as you are constantly put on alert, searching for the next thing that your brain will tell you to avoid as your world becomes smaller and scarier.
If these symptoms sound familiar, I am here to help you. My name is Thomas Banta, and I have dedicated my career to helping adults struggling with trauma-related symptoms process that trauma and move on from painful memories.
Trauma can present as anxiety, depression, panic, pervasive feelings of shame and guilt, and intrusive memories.
I utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) to achieve rapid results in a short-term, structured form of therapy. My goal is to help you overcome distressing symptoms so that you can thrive in your everyday life once again.
I understand that accessing treatment can be challenging, especially with a busy schedule. Therefore, I am available exclusively on weekday evenings and weekends via telehealth to accommodate your schedule and ensure you can work through these traumatic experiences from the comfort of your own home.
